How we got here
How we met
We actually met in the most random way. It was during a friend’s small get-together, one of those chill evenings where nobody really knows everybody. Azeez almost didn’t come, and Abeebat only showed up because her friend dragged her along last minute. At some point, there was a mix-up with drinks. Azeez picked up a cup that wasn’t his, and Abeebat called him out like, “Excuse me, that’s mine.” That turned into a small argument… then laughter… then a proper conversation. They ended up sitting next to each other the rest of the night, talking about everything from school to random life goals. What was supposed to be a quick “hi” turned into hours without them even noticing time had passed. After that night, they didn’t exchange numbers immediately. But somehow, they kept running into each other again — at a mutual friend’s place, at a café, even once at the supermarket. At that point, it started to feel less like coincidence. Eventually, Azeez asked for her number, and that was it. The funny thing is, neither of them planned it. It just happened… and it stuck.
