Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Ournuptials (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an online platform that helps couples plan their wedding — including a public wedding website, RSVP collection, guest list, seating, checklists, budget, vendors, and registry. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
If you have questions, contact us at hello@ournupitals.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you give us. Account details (name, email, password), wedding details (partner names, date, venue, story, photos), guest list information you upload (names, contact details, dietary notes), checklist and budget entries, vendor and registry details.
- Information from your guests. When guests RSVP on a wedding website you create, we collect the information they submit (such as name, email, attendance, meal choice, song requests, and messages) and store it under your account.
- Information collected automatically. Device and log data (IP address, browser, pages viewed, timestamps) and essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure.
3. How we use information
- To create and operate your wedding website, dashboard, and RSVP tools.
- To send transactional emails (account verification, RSVP confirmations, registry thank-yous, receipts).
- To process the one-time $1 unlock payment through our payment provider.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
- To improve features and respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use guest data for advertising.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store full card details on our servers. Paystack receives the information needed to complete the transaction under their own privacy terms.
5. Sharing your information
We share information only with service providers that help us run Ournuptials (hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing), and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Ournuptials, our users, or others.
Anything you choose to publish on your public wedding website (names, story, photos, registry) is visible to anyone with the link.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and wedding data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@ournupitals.com. After deletion, residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, row-level database security, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ournupitals.com. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in any message.
9. Children
Ournuptials is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app.
